Summertime brings an avalanche of new possibilities, right? Not so for Dr. Elizabeth Harding. Though she expects a busy summer full of patients in her new town, she finds that it’s With Autumn’s Return that the pieces begin to fall together.
From the Publisher:
She’s planning on instant success. She didn’t plan on love.
When Elizabeth Harding arrives in Cheyenne to open her medical practice, she is confident that the future is as bright as the warm Wyoming sun. Certain she’ll have a line of patients eager for her services, she soon discovers the town may not welcome a new physician–especially a lady doctor. Even Jason Nordling, the handsome young attorney next door, seems to disapprove of her chosen profession.
When a web of deceit among Cheyenne’s wealthiest residents threatens to catch Elizabeth and Jason in its snare, they must risk working together to save one of Elizabeth’s patients–even if it means falling in love.
Starting a book at 10:00pm is never a good idea. This was true of With Autumn’s Return. I had intended to read for about an hour and then call it a night, but I found myself unable to put the book down. Several hours later (early the next morning), I finally finished the story and was able to close the cover and crawl into bed.
Like the other titles in the Westward Winds series, With Autumn’s Return is a well-written book with characters to whom you can relate. Amanda Cabot had woven a spell-binding story together with twists and turns that you will not expect, keeping you engrossed in the tale until the final pages.
I give With Autumn’s Return five stars.
