Who & Why Wednesday: God is my SHEPHERD

Who is God? God is my SHEPHERD: Psalm 23; 1 Peter 2.25; John 10.11, 14ff

Why do I care? Christ is the “Shepherd & Guardian” of my soul (1 Peter 2.25). He laid down His life for me (John 10.11) when He died on the cross. As sheep know the voice of their shepherd, I must learn to know and listen to His voice, obeying it without question because He wants to led me to the things I need for survival (Psalm 23).

I love these verses Ashley! My husband has often said this about sheep & cows… "you lead sheep, you drive cattle" A shepherd is in front of the sheep leading the way, calling to them. A cattle driver is behind the cows, yelling & pushing. It's so much better to be led than to be driven!

What an awesome link-up! I'll need to think on this one and join in in the next few weeks!

I like that – it IS much better to be led than to be driven – and easier on
us! I love that God leads us with a still small voice, and it's up to us to
learn to hear it and listen to it.
