Where Wildflowers Bloom by Ann Shorey {book review}

{From the Publisher}:

How far will she go to follow her dreams?

The Civil War stole a father and brother from Faith Lindberg–as well as Royal Baxter, the man she wanted to marry. With only her grandfather left, she dreams of leaving Noble Springs, Missouri, and traveling west to Oregon to start a new life, away from the memories that haunt her. But first she must convince her grandfather to sell the family’s mercantile and leave a town their family has called home for generations.

When Royal Baxter suddenly returns, Faith allows herself to hope that she and Royal will finally wed. But does he truly love her? Or will another man claim her heart?

{My Thoughts}:

I really enjoyed reading Where Wildflowers Bloom. It was the first book by Ann Shorey that I’ve read, but I’ll definitely be looking to read others by her in the future.

Ann did a great job introducing each of the main characters, causing the reader to want to invest time in learning about the town of Noble Spring, MO, and its residents. I thoroughly enjoyed feeling “a part” of the story as I read about Faith’s struggles and the decisions she needed to make.

Where Wildflowers Bloom was a great stand-alone title, but I’m excited to read the rest of the “Sisters at Heart” series from Ann Shorey.

I give this book five out of five stars.
