Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, and often that means we start thinking about chocolates, candies, and flowers. But this year, VeggieTales wants us to remember to love one another every day of the year.
To help celebrate the release of the newest Veggie Tales DVD, Lettuce Love One Another, all week I’ll be sharing freebies that you can use to help teach your kids to love others with God’s love.
Show Love to Others

Teaching kids to think beyond their own needs and wants is a lesson that requires intentionality and leading by example.
At our house, we will often ask Jenny to show love to David by helping him get dressed or clean his room. We’ll often ask David to show love to Jenny by helping to pick up her room or sort the laundry.
When kids learn to look at the needs of others around them, they can learn to show love to others!
Scripture of the Day

Let each of you look not only his own interest, but also to the interest of others. (Philippians 2:4)

We all have gifts and ways that we can serve others. Brainstorm with your kids ways that you can show love to others… babysitting a friend’s kids, taking a meal to a new mom, shoveling a neighbor’s driveway, cleaning a sibling’s room, reading a book to a younger sibling, etc.
