Veggie Tales: Bob and Larry Go Country

While we enjoy country music at our house, we don’t often listen to it when the kids are around, but this new country music CD from Veggie Tales has been a fast hit with Jenny and David. Bob and Larry Go Country is sure to bring a smile to your kids’ faces when they hear their favorite Veggie Tales characters singing some classic {and clean} country music songs!

It’s been fun hearing the Veggie Tales spin on these country music songs as we’ve listened to Bob and Larry Go Country together. I think one of my favorite parts of the CD is the color commentary that the various Veggie Tales characters do between the verses and the songs – the kids might miss the humor, but it’s a parent’s goldmine!

One of the things I most appreciate about Veggie Tales putting out a country music CD like Bob and Larry Go Country is that it’s a great way to show my kids that it’s OK to enjoy music that isn’t “Christian” in nature. Bob and Larry Go Country provides me with the opportunity to introduce my kids to clean and fun country music, in a way that isn’t dishonoring to God.

    Oops! Favorite song is Carrie Underwood – Jesus Take The Wheel… Life gets hectic, and often I think I’m the one driving so this song reminds me that I’ve overstepped and need to put things back in order the way it was meant- with Jesus driving, not me. :-)
