Top 10 Tuesday: Quotes from Sheila Walsh

This past weekend, I had the privilege of attending the Women of Faith conference in Milwaukee with my sister!!

The main speaker for the event was Sheila Walsh {she was also joined by Dr. Henry Cloud, Lisa Harper, Angie Smith, Nicole Johnson, and Luci Swindoll}, and she shared some great encouragement as she spoke to us about the promises in the Word of God.

{I’ve included “Tweet This” and “Share this on Facebook” buttons below – just click on the button of your choice to share the quote!}

“Nothing will transform you more than the Word of God. It will transform you from the inside out.”

“I want to live a life that demands an explanation.”

“The safest place to be is where Jesus is.”

“I would not have survived… without the promises of the Word of God.”

“When the pain of remaining the same is greater than the pain of changing, then you’ll change.”

“It’s not about our behavior – it’s about the love of God.”

“When you’re able to say no to what other people want you to do, you can say yes to what God wants you to do.”

“Peace is not the absence of trouble – it is the presence of Christ.”

“Peace: total well-being and security because God is with His people.”

“Good morning, Lord. I don’t know where you’re going today, but I want to go wherever you are going.”

If you’ve never been to a Women of Faith conference before, I’d highly encourage you to check one out! They’re a great time of encouragement and refreshment for your spiritual journey.

Glad you enjoyed your weekend!  Are you going to the E Women conference in FW next weekend?

Thanks for your kind words and prayers on my blog this morning.  I am feeling better.  Thanks for praying!

I hadn’t heard about the E-Women conference, so no, I won’t be going. Are you local to Warsaw? I found your blog this morning through Marah Grant’s blog, and then I saw that we’d connected one before on GatherInSpirit. Fun to find a “local” faith blogging friend!

Ooh, love all these. Number 10 especially gets me today! Great way to start the day!

I loved that one! Dr. Henry Cloud had a similar quote that was quite striking as well: “I can either start my day with ‘Good Lord! Morning?’ or ‘Good Morning, Lord!’”

Thanks, Kelli! It was my first time hearing Dr. Cloud – at first, I wasn’t too sure of him, but his second session on Friday afternoon was definitely solidly based in the Scriptures and a good challenge!
