A few weeks ago, I “hit bottom” with all my responsibilities and lack of time-management discipline. Since I’m working on having better time-management discipline this week, I’ll be MIA online for most of it, so I thought I’d share a few posts I draft-wrote when I “hit bottom.”

Hitting Bottom – Part Two
As I posted yesterday, I have a LOT on my plate. But, my number one priority (after my relationship with God) OUGHT to be my family – my husband and my kids. As a stay-at-home mom/spouse, I OUGHT to have more than enough time to care for their needs, as well as bless them, on a daily basis. They OUGHT to be the focus of my day. However, I have to tell you – this isn’t the case most days. If anything, they tend to be an afterthought - at the bottom of my “to-do” list.
I find myself so focused on my goals for my online ministry that I forget that my primary ministry during this season of my life IS my family.
Specifically, I have two young children (2yo and 3.5yo) who need Mommy to be building into their lives. Also, since my husband works outside the home, I need to make our home a haven for him – somewhere he can retreat to each night in peace.
There needs to be a redirection and reorganization of my priorities. My “to-do” list needs to be reversed, putting my husband’s and children’s needs at the TOP, rather than the BOTTOM.
My ministry outside of my home should NEVER come
BEFORE my family, since during this season of my life,
God has called me to minister primarily TO my family.
Remembering my present calling is key to keeping my priorities properly balanced.

Do you need to re-order and re-direct your priorities? What can I do to encourage you to focus on the calling God has given you during this season of your life?
