Our Homeschool Week in Review {01.20.12}

In my life this week…

I was sick a good portion of the week. I am SO thankful that Jenny has learned how to make breakfast and lunch – there were a few days that I was in bed until after lunchtime.

In our homeschool this week…

Even though I was under the weather, we still managed to get a good bit of school done. Our worksheet foldershave definitely helped!

Things I’m working on…

I’m working on getting up earlier so we can have school in the mornings – this week wasn’t a good week for that. My goal is to be done with breakfast by 9am so we can dive right into school. Right now, we’re doing school after lunch {during rest time}.

I’m reading…

So many books in my queue right now – look for reviews on Unhallowed Ground and Where Wildflowers Bloom this weekend!

I’m also reading through Ephesians with the Good Morning Girls.

I’m cooking…

I’ve been “shopping” my pantry and freezer for fast and frugal meals. I managed to create some yummy meals this week: chicken tacos and beef stew w/ noodles {recipes and links to come}.

I’m grateful for…

I’m so grateful for Jenny’s ability and willingness to help out. I’m also thankful that both kids are independent and get along well!

A photo, video, link, or quote to share…

2 Corinthians 10.5

I’m linking up with the Homeschool Mother’s Journal.

      Thank you, Amy! I’m learning to accept that I can only do so much, and being OK with that. It’s hard to say “no”, but sometimes we just have to do so!

      Thanks! Sue at The Homeschool Chick has the topics for us to write on as part of her weekly Homeschool Mothers’ Journal linkup. It’s fun to work through it each week and highlight the best and worst of the week. :)

    Hope you are on the mend!  It is great that Jenny can help.  I am sure it took the pressure off of you so that you could heal.
