New Testament Challenge – a Bible Study for Busy Moms

In the midst of the busyness of life, it’s too easy to settle for a devotional routine that doesn’t include actual study and application of the Scriptures. With all the quick devotional apps available for our smart phones, we can easily check off our “time with God” and miss digging deeper into the Scriptures. We never scratch beyond the surface of the amazing resource we have in the written Word of God.

I know I’m all too guilty at times of being OK with just reading the Bible and not actually taking the time to stop and study what it is saying and how it applies to my daily life. That’s why I’m excited about a new Bible study I found – the New Testament Challenge – that is perfect for busy moms like me.

New Testament Challenge | in just 30 minutes a day, you can read and study the entire New Testament in sixty days with this Bible study guide - perfect for busy moms!

As a busy mom, I know how difficult it is to find extra time in your day, but if you can manage to carve out just 30 minutes a day to study God’s Word, you will be so much richer for it. While the New Testament Challenge isn’t specifically written to busy moms (it’s really a great study for anybody), it’s is the perfect Bible study for busy moms because it only takes about 30 minutes a day to complete.

The New Testament Challenge is both a reading plan and a study guide. You will find assigned reading for sixty days, along with questions for each day’s reading. Though the challenge was designed to be completed in 10 weeks of six days each, you can adjust that by reading more or less each day. If you read every section and answer every question, you will have completed an introductory commentary on the New Testament, written by you.  And even more importantly, you will have read the entire New Testament, and have a better understanding of how its truths apply to your every day life!

I love that the New Testament Challenge isn’t full of fluff like so many studies written for moms. As busy moms read the assigned Scripture each day (4-5 chapters), they’ll be challenged to dig into the text and apply the truths they find there to their every day lives. Each week there is also a selection of verses to work on memorizing – ones that will inform your heart and mind, encouraging you in your walk with Christ.
