We all know we should be praying for missionaries. But how often are our prayers, “Lord, bless the missionaries”? Even when we don’t know specific requests to pray, we can still pray specifically.
Let’s take a look at the prayer requests that Paul shared with the Colossian believers in Colossians 4.3-4:
- Pray that “God will open up to us a door for the word”;
- Pray that “we may speak forth the mystery of Christ”;
- Pray that “I may make [the gospel] clear“.
When you don’t have a specific prayer request list in front of you, pray these three things for your missionaries:
- Pray that God will open a door;
- Pray that they would take advantage of the opportunity provided;
- Pray that their message would be clear.
Missionaries need our prayer support even more than they need our financial support. Pick a missionary that you or your church supports and take a few minutes to pray this for them now!
Missionaries I regularly pray for:
- The Haines Family – serving at Camp Barakel
- The Schutt Family – serving at Camp Forest Springs
- The Kamper Family – currently serving at Camp Barakel while raising support to serve with LAM
I’d love to read your prayers for your missionaries! Would you leave them in the comments below?
