I’m not one for following a recipe – it just isn’t my thing. But I love looking at various recipes on Pinterest and brainstorming ways to modify the recipe to suit my family’s taste preferences.Last week, I decided to combine recipes for Creamy Crockpot Spaghetti and Lasagna (or at least what these “looked” like in my head), and I threw together a new recipe – Crockpot Pizza Pasta Bake.

What I love about this “recipe” is that you can totally tailor it to fit your family’s taste preferences (or whatever ingredients you happen to have on hand)!

Ingredients:

1lb of small pasta pieces (I used two partial boxes of various sized shells)

24oz jar of pasta sauce

12oz of water (I filled my pasta sauce jar 1/2 full)

pizza toppings (I used ground beef and mushrooms – it’s what I had on hand)

shredded cheese (I used mozzarella)

Directions:

  • Mix all ingredients except cheese together in a crockpot.
  • Cook on HIGH 2-3 hours (or until pasta is cooked al dente).
  • Stir occasionally.
  • Top with shredded cheese and serve.
