I am in a calm so great
that I fear nothing.
What could I fear?
I am with Him.

I’m going to be quiet today, and let you reflect on this passage from Present Perfect…
Surrendered to God’s presence in each present moment, we fulfill our “duty to the present moment” as best we can, for we are people who celebrate the fullness of Life we have from God and who do all we do as an act of worship to God. And we are empowered to do this because we have been freed from chsing after false gods and freed from obsessing on the past and future. We don’t regret the past or fear the future, for we’ve lost nothing and can gain nothing that affects our unsurpassable worth and significance. We know that we are, in this moment, engulfed in a perfect love that never began and never ends, and all we do flows out of this center of peace and satisfaction.
Living in the present moment, we no longer need to chase the sinking sun. We no longer need to chase anything. All that we need we already have, right here, right now.
The only relevant question is, Can we remember this truth in this moment, or will our idol chasing, nonpresent, habitual thoughts take over? We can’t answer this question for any future moments. Nor need we condemn or applaud ourselves for how we answered it in past moments. We can only answer this question in this present moment.
And now in this one.
