52 Weeks of Dating Your Spouse: Fun Activity Date Ideas for Busy Parents

It’s Friday night and you’ve got a sitter lined up, but the same ol’ dinner and a movie just isn’t high on your list of fun and exciting activity date ideas. It can be difficult to find the time to hunt down and plan date nights even when you do manage carve out time in your busy schedule to actually do the date night.

Brainstorming Activity Date Ideas

As a busy mom, I knew I needed an easy solution for brainstorming different activity date ideas for dating my husband, so I turned to my favorite source of help coming up with perfect date ideas: The Dating Divas.

I found this fantastic pack of 52 Dates for Two on their site – great date ideas for busy parents – and now I’ve got a nifty date idea for every week of the next year!

All I had to do was send the pdf file over the wifi to my color printer, use my paper cutter to cut out the set of cards, and find a home for them (like this awesome photo album), and we’re all set for a year full of date nights!

Well, there will probably still be week here or there when life is too chaotic for a date night, but seriously, half the battle of dating my husband is simply planning our date nights!

Here’s what the 52 Dates for Two pack includes:

  • 52 Weekly Date Night Cards – A date night idea for each week of the year.
  • Blank Date Night Cards – Customizable cards to include a few, more personal date ideas.
  • 16 Bonus Date Cards – For more weekly date night ideas to choose from.
  • Steps & Tips for a Photo Album – Create an easy way to track your date night memories.

Choosing Which Activity Date Ideas You Want to Do This Month

The date night cards are simple and easy to use, and they make scheduling date night so easy! Each month I can take a look at our whiteboard calendar to see which weeks we’ll have a babysitter and which weeks we won’t be able to go out.

To help with choosing a date that’s perfect for each week, the date night cards have these perfect little checklists at the top. That way, if I know we can’t get a sitter we can choose an “At Home” date or if we’re a little strapped for cash lately, we can be sure to pick a “Free” date.

Once we actually go on the dates, I’m going to try to remember to take pictures so we can add them to the album. Not only will we have date ideas for a year, but we’ll have a photo album of all the memories at the end of it!
